ABOUT

“The Nickel Boys" novel has been adapted into a 2024 American historical drama film titled "Nickel Boys," directed by RaMell Ross. The film features performances by Ethan Herisse as Elwood Curtis and Brandon Wilson as Turner, with notable appearances by Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Daveed Diggs. The film premiered at the 51st Telluride Film Festival on August 30, 2024, and had a limited theatrical release starting December 13, 2024. It has garnered critical acclaim for its innovative storytelling and visual style, earning nominations for Best Picture at the 97th Academy Awards and Best Motion Picture – Drama at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.

THE CHALLENGE

The MGM marketing team approached Dyme Agency at the start of their film’s promotional campaign, seeking a creative partner to design and develop impactful marketing assets for their social impact initiative. Dyme Agency was tasked with crafting a compelling visual identity to amplify the film’s reach.

THE SOLUTION

Our team designed and develop a dynamic 50-page microsite with a visually engaging digital guide consisting of video and photo collages to captivate the audience.

To enhance project efficiency and streamline communication, we integrated the client directly into our project management software. This integration significantly accelerated the asset request process and simplified the organization and management of asset archives, ensuring a smoother workflow and faster delivery times.
